Mrs. Kings and Mr. Robertson's Applied Geometry class working on a Maglev car Project provided by the Michigan Department of Transportation. The lesson gave students introduction to topics in the field of civil engineering. This hands on project had students apply mathematics concepts they have learned this year to design and test magnetic cars. Students measured there reaction times as well as graphed data they collected. The students conducted experiments to discover how Newtons 1st law of motion and aerodynamics affected moving objects.
